ECON-475 Environmental Economics

ECON-475 Environmental Economics
Spring only
Ron Shadbegian
This course is designed to introduce the problems of externalities, public goods, and exhaustible resources from an economic perspective. Some of these problems violate the assumptions of standard microeconomic theory, suggesting a free market system might not lead to efficient outcomes. However, market-based solutions may be available. Students will write a short paper. Spring.
Credits: 3
Prerequisites: ECON-101 or 103 and ECON-121
