  • This course focuses on Russian foreign policy since the Soviet collapse. Topics covered include: the legacy of the Cold War and how it ended; domestic sources of Russian foreign policy; U.S-Russian relations; Russia’ s relations with Europe; Sino-Russian relations and Russia as an Asian power; Russian energy and geopolitics; Russia’s relations with its neighbors and future scenarios for Vladimir Putin’s third Presidency.

    This course has been renumbered, effective Fall 2014. A student who earned credit for GOVT 388 Russian Foreign Policy in a prior term should not enroll and cannot earn credit in this class.
