  • This course will examine the history and politics of Egypt from the beginning of 20th century to our current days. The course will look at the political, economic, social aspects of Egypt. Writings by famous novelists and memoirs will be included to give a broad description of the different periods. The course will analyze the important factors that shaped the different regimes in the last hundred years and the underpinnings of the major problems facing the country.
