MATH-362 Fourier Series with Applications to PDE

  • This course is designed to study harmonic analysis in Euclidean spaces. This subject has been growing rapidly for the past forty years. Students will study the nature of Fourier series, elements of Fourier transforms, and finite Fourier analysis. After this, the concepts can be applied to other relevant topics, such as partial differential equations. The main goal of the course will be to learn about basic concepts of Fourier analysis on Euclidean spaces
    and groups. We will also discuss how this theory can be applied to other advanced mathematical concepts.

    As students in this course will be doing a great deal of independent study, they will need to be flexible about meeting.
