  • A general introduction to Judaism as a whole, with a focus on the ethical emphasis of biblical religion. Special stress will be placed on the evolutionary nature of Judaism, its diversity and flexibility, its reactions to other religious systems, and its contemporary meaning. Topics addressed will include the nature and condition of man; evil, suffering, and death; and the origins and significance of Zionism and modern Israel.
