THEO-096 The Latino Church Doing Justice

THEO-096 The Latino Church Doing Justice
Fall only
A study of and a reflection on major influences – cultural, socio-economic, racial, spiritual, theological – which shape the Latino Church in the United States today and which will affect its future identities and roles in this country.

Analysis of personal stories combined with related readings and written student reflections will be our approach. There will be one written mid-term exam and a final oral exam. A weekend visit to Camden, New Jersey, one of “America’s most dangerous cities,” will be available to interested students.
