ARAB-361 Introduction to Arabic Literature and Style I

  • Content-based survey of Arabic literature from the pre-Islamic period to the contemporary period. The readings are selected from among the most salient literary texts of various literary periods in the Arabic literary traditions, in poetry and prose within cultural and historical contents. These two courses are taught totally in Arabic.

    Prerequisite: three years of intensive Arabic, or Advanced High by ACTFL standards.
