ARTS-211 Drawing II: The Figure

ARTS-211 Drawing II: The Figure
Faculty:
  • Muhn, B G
  • This course emphasizes the techniques of classical drawing from the life model. Working primarily with black and white materials, students learn to capture the pose with short warm-up drawings (croquis/gesture), develop a quality of line with contours and become familiar with proportions by measuring and foreshortening. Slides, reproductions, and a possible field trip to museums or an artist’s studio will supplement students’ drawings.
    Prerequisite: 110. Fall and Spring.

    Credits: 3
