CCTP-806 Product Development in the New Digital Age

This course will examine the product planning cycle. Students will learn about the product planning process and will apply these concepts toward the development of an individual product plan for digital age enterprises. The course will start with a focus on digital age technologies. After this, the individual components of a product plan will be introduced. Students will develop their product plans as these various plan components are reviewed. These include the following: product description; target market; competitor analysis; technology trends; financial statements; business case development; product evolution; and exit strategy. At the conclusion of the course, students will understand the product planning process; know the various components of a product plan; have a fundamental knowledge of digital age technologies; and appreciate the elements of basic product-related financial statements.
