CHEM-012 Chemistry In Everyday Life

This is a non-science majors course designed to help the student acquire a wide and general view of science through chemistry and to reflect the significant role chemistry in environmental science, medicine, forensics, industry and technology. The course is designed around the reading of books written for the layperson by scientists or science enthusiasts. Topics will build upon each other and an understanding of chemistry will develop for students. Five laboratory sessions will allow students to experience the experimental nature of chemistry. Fall, Spring.
