COSC-175 Advanced Programming

The objective of the course is to develop a mastery of object-oriented programming using the Java programming language and to expose students to advanced programming concepts important for upper-division courses. Topics include, event-driven programming, graphical user interfaces (GUIs), 2/3D Graphics, security, multimedia, exception handling, threads, servlets, remote method invocation (RMI), sockets, networking, files, database connectivity (JDBC), java server pages (JSP), and Enterprise Java Beans (EJB). Prerequisite: COSC-071. Fall.
