ENFL-115 Literature and Writing for Foreign Students

ENFL-115 Literature and Writing for Foreign Students
Through the use of selected American writings, supplemented by other media, this course provides an introduction to American literature, life, and culture which will help foreign students understand and give written expression to their personal experiences here. The course requires extensive writing and discussion. Fall semester focuses on twentieth century American fiction. Spring semester covers American literature to 1900 in survey format. (Foreign students who are not native speakers of English may elect this course to satisfy the requirement in literature.)
