GERM-166 Mysteries, Madness, Murder

Level IV course. This undergraduate course looks at mysterious events, murders, and insanity in 20th-century literary works and films as manifestations of the increasingly antagonistic relationship between individual and society. Work and discussion will deal with authors' and directors' portrayals of good and evil and the moral and social implications. Attention is paid to further development of advanced language skills.
