GERM-502 Introduction to Literary Theory

In the tradition of the evolving disciplines of Germanistik and German Studies, the course surveys the literary methodologies from positivism in the late 19th century to post-modernism today, as well as problems of interpretation and literary criticism. Develops the skills for critically approaching the (literary) text, authorship, and readers.
