HEST-460 Population Health Capstone
Spring for 2017-2018
This seminar and required 40 hour service-learning component create a capstone experience for students seeking a Public Health Minor. The seminar provides a forum for students to synthesize prior coursework and current literature, as they examine issues of relevance to the health of populations in the United States. The service learning experience affords an opportunity to apply in-depth knowledge to the development and implementation of a project within a local organization, providing for the health and/or policy needs of populations. The seminar experience culminates in the development of a publication-quality scholarly paper.
