This course focuses on the human resource management process, which includes recruitment, placement, training and competency development, performance monitoring and evaluation and counseling. It will address wage and benefits administration, grievance systems, labor relations, key labor laws and regulatory processes, job satisfaction, retention strategies, and interdisciplinary relationships. Particular emphasis will be placed on the role of human resource management and development in support of the strategic imperative of quality and performance improvement.
