HIST-704 Environmental History: Issues and Literature

An introduction to the field of environmental history, focusing on the last three centuries. It addresses issues such as imperialism industrialization, urbanization and how these processes affected relationships between society and environment. It has no specific geographic focus. The readings together consider most parts of the globe.
