HSCI-510 Principles of Occupational Hygiene

The course, Principles of Occupational Hygiene, provides an introduction to the field of occupational and industrial hygiene and to occupational health in general. The class content focuses on introducing concepts, terminology, and methodology in the practice of occupational and industrial hygiene. The course work will focus on the general tenets of workplace hazard control - anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of environmental factors or stresses, arising in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health and well-being, or significant discomfort and inefficiency among workers.
