INAF-690 US/European Relations
Fall for 2010-2011
Faculty:
U.S./European Relations will address the major political, economic, and military issues in the transatlantic relationship. An examination of the major historic Cold War challenges for the relationship will be followed by a focus on the post-Cold War, particularly the post-9/11 era. Issues will include differences over the Global War on Terrorism, Afghanistan, the Middle East peace process, and Russia as well as approaches to China and EU-US economic relations. The US/European divergence on approaches to Iraq and negotiations with Iran will be discussed. The course will be taught as a seminar with an emphasis on student involvement.
