LING-269 Bilingualism

This course reviews major theoretical issues, research findings and practical application on bilingualism and its effect on individuals and society.
Objectives:
A) To gain an understanding of the foundations of bilingualism and bilingual education.
B) To study the effects of bilingualism on the individual and society including cognitive, academic, social and academic factors.
C) To investigate educational issues and policies related to the education of linguistically and culturally diverse students in in United States.
