MARK-270 Advanced Seminar in International Business

MARK-270 Advanced Seminar in International Business
Faculty:
  • Brewer, Thomas
  • The objective of the course is to advance your analytic skills and your understanding of concepts and issues in international business. The course can be especially helpful to you as you prepare for the next few years of your career and for effective functioning as an international business executive in subsequent years.

It is an integrative course that combines the perspectives of strategy, marketing, finance, government relations and other managerial processes. It is also an integrative course in the sense that it combines several levels of analysis.

The pedagogical approach of the course combines lectures and case analyses. Both the lectures and the cases provide examples of key concepts and data sources that are widely used in international business. An individual research paper receives much emphasis, and it is the subject of two tutorials with the instructor.
