MATH-340 Applied Statistical Methods II
Fall for 2016-2017
This course introduces the student to various upper-level statistical concepts and methods. Topics include regression modeling for count data (e.g. Poisson regression, alternatives for over-dispersed data, etc.); survival analysis; multivariate analysis topics such as principal components, factor analysis, and discrimination and classification; bootstrapping; and time series analysis. Statistical computing is performed using the statistical freeware tool, R.
