MPPL-745-01 Negotiation and Conflict Management
Fall for 2016-2017
This course covers the foundations of negotiation and negotiation strategy. Topics include planning and framing, recognizing and preparing for different phases of a negotiation, and the roles of gender and cultural differences in negotiation. The course also covers conflict management, as project and program managers are called upon to resolve conflicts not only within their teams but also with clients, customers, and other stakeholders. Topics will include constructive and destructive conflict, conflict resolution styles, and various approaches to conflict resolution.
