MPPR-900 Cause Consulting: Strategic Communications Planning

MPPR-900 Cause Consulting: Strategic Communications Planning
Bates Boyle, Joy
Cause Consulting I: Nonprofit Track
This two semester course offers a cohort of students an applied learning experience working to develop and implement communications plans for non-profit organizations and an opportunity to explore their leadership potential to create positive social and economic impact throughout their careers. The first semester is grounded in a curriculum that teaches students how to develop a step-by-step strategic communications plan. Students also focus on teamwork, analytical and strategic thinking skills and managing client relationships. The semester culminates in the presentation of strategic communications plans to each of the clients.

Students who complete both semesters are recognized as Cause Consultants and are eligible to conduct communications training sessions for nonprofits in conjunction with the Center for Social Impact Communications at Georgetown.

Students must be in their third semester to register for this two semester course, or request special permission from the associate dean.
