NURS-903 Research Methodology
Spring for 2017-2018
This course provides the student with skills in the practical aspects of developing, writing and submitting a research proposal. The student will identify a study design, develop a sampling plan, develop instrumentation and methodology for data collection, and plan for data analysis. The student is introduced to quantitative and qualitative methods and analysis including common non-parametric and parametric statistical tests. An experience with data analysis using an established data set and SPSS is provided. The student will also develop and submit an IRB proposal.

Student will identify a theoretical/conceptual framework, devise a sampling plan, describe methods and instrumentation for the project. The student will learn the IRB permission process.
