PORT-101 Advanced Portuguese I

  • This is an advanced 3-credit course for students who have already taken the basic and intermediate levels of Portuguese, or their equivalent. The main objective of the class is to complement the students knowledge of the basic structure of the language, as needed, while s/he practices the language by reading, speaking and writing about a series of contemporary texts, movies and music with emphasis on cultural aspects of the Portuguese-speaking world and language use.
    Credits: 3
    Prerequisites: Portuguese 009, 010, 011, 032, or consent of instructor.
