  • A study of the development of Lusophone culture as delineated through the Portuguese-speaking world socio-cultural experience. The distinctive political and economic features of Portugal, Brazil, and of the Portuguese-speaking Africa are considered together with the most important expressions in the arts.

    Requirements: Intermediate/Advanced Portuguese I, or permission by the instructor.
