PPOL-580 INNOVATIONS IN PUBLIC MANAGEMENT

In the last several years, government reform has swept the globe. In America, government at all levels is experiencing one of the most intense periods of administrative reform this century. This course is designed to examine the full range of public sector reforms and innovations, including regulatory reform, privatization, devolution, and public sector entrepreneurship. Special attention is paid to enhancing the ability to diagnose problems in the public sector, clarifying organizational mandates, designing creative strategy, and shaping structure and processes to increase the quality of public services.
