THEO-145 The Theology of Islamic Politics
Faculty:
This course examines varieties of political thought at play in today’s Muslim world. Issues to be covered include the relation of religion to law, political organization, (public) morality, and constitutionalism, with a focus on Islam in the context of the "modern" nation-state. Emphasis will be given to the theological interpretation of contemporary Islamic political thought.
